Several of the ladies who are planning to join us are still waiting to either receive or purchase their book. Please note that we will continue our discussion of Eve this week so that we don't get too far ahead of them. Look for a new Blog this week on Discussing Eve.

Welcome!
The response for our new book club has been wonderful and I look forward to sharing with each and everyone of you in the weeks to come.
Many of your have asked when will we meet. I would like to plan a monthly meeting to discuss all the women that have been covered for one month. In addition to a gathering, I would also like to dialog as much as possible here on our Blog for the benefit of our out-of-state participants. Since we will cover one woman each week, dialog on that one WOB is what I would like focus on in the weekly Blog. Please note that I am open to any suggestions.
After viewing the introduction for our first WOB, I was prompted to examine the following:
- How would I describe my character
- What has my greatest sorrow been
- What has brought me the most joy in my life
- What key events have shaped my life, and how they have changed me for better/worse
- What does my name mean
While we examine the life and times of Eve this week, let's also take a look at ourselves and think about how we would write our own story.
Stay tuned!

I can truly say Eve was the women who set the standards. I totally understand how her decision (eating off the tree of good and evil, after being told not to by God) paved the way for our lifes and the issues we now deal with on a daily basis. Eve was a powerful women, which tells us we are powerful as well as women and we must use our power to tap into God's wisdom and be the "neck" to our husbands God has intended us to be, instead of acting as the lead.
After reading todays (Thursday)message: Eve's Promise it was quite refreshing for me. Just wanted to share with everyone my thoughts of encouragement:
God's grace will bring us through. We will be triumphant over all our struggles, trust in God and this is our promise. AMEN!!
The story of Eve made me reflect on what's important in life. Like Eve many times we forget about the big picture and only focus on minor things that cause us major consequences. Every tree in the garden was available to Eve but she chose to focus on the one forbidden tree. Sometimes as Christians it's easy look at what God has commanded us not to do and forget all the freedom HE has given us through Christ
